Health Care in Poland

Costs for services of Polish doctors and hospitals compare favourably to those in many other industrialised countries. For many procedures we have standard prices (including standard logistical organisation, e.g. making appointments, organising your travel and accommodation etc.) Price estimates of treatment or binding quotes will be made when we have detailed information about your situation and your requirements.

Costs for a certain operation can vary a lot depending on the surgery being done in an in-patient or an out-patient facility. Whilst in-patient treatment in a hospital is in many cases absolutely necessary (especially with major operations) and offers the advantage of 24 hour care, treatment in out-patient facilities can be an interesting alternative costwise and timewise for certain smaller limited surgical procedures.

We always endeavour to find good medical solution to everyone who requests our services depending on a patient's preferences and medical requirements.

Medica Travel's services include:

	Finding a doctor or clinic/hospital according to your needs and requirements.
	Answering medical questions a the patients might have, by forwarding the questions to our expert group or to the clinics and hospitals we are cooperating with.
	Collects and translates medical records and other medical information about patients and forward them to doctor.
	Help with insurance issues
	Manage the communication between clinic, doctor and patient before the patient comes to Poland.
	Book hotels, tests and surgery/treatments
	Transfer between airport, port, hotel and clinic/hospital.
	Translates and explains when necessary between patient and doctor.
	Follow-up the patients' treatment/operation after returning back home. Respond to patient questions after treatment.

Search for and arranging proper medical treatment in Poland is done in following steps:

1. Send your medical data and diagnose to us on following address: info@medicatravel.com. If you do not have a diagnose yet, you have first to have some initial consultation and tests.

2. We will send you information about hospital/clinic, procedures, prices, terms of conditions etc.

3. We book everything like appointment, tests, consultation, surgery, rehabilitation.

These are the fees for our services*:

	Rough quote for standard operations - free of charge
	Getting detailed quote for treatment in a certain hospital or clinic on the basis of X-rays, other images and medical reports submitted by you - 500 PLN (approx. 110 GBP)
	Arranging an appointment for preliminary investigations - 500 PLN (approx. 110 GBP)
	Arranging surgery - 1800 PLN (approx. 396 GBP)
	Arranging a detailed "second opinion" in English language on the basis of medical documents - 1000 PLN (approx. 220 GBP)
	Additional Services like translations, interpreters, individual reception at airport, patient transport etc. will be billed according to the actual volume of the respective services.
